Contemplating Volunteering Overseas In High Season

February 25th, 2011 Web Resource World

Are you contemplating the trip to Africa this year in peak season? Are you currently a graduate or a school leaver who will be finished with education come June? Are you wanting to volunteer? Have you begun your research into looking at airfares and what time of the year is best to travel?

Many destinations such as East Africa hike their prices for air fares in July/August as this is seen as ‘peak season’. The reason for this is partly because the conditions are best for travel in these months and the children are out of school for their summer holidays in both Europe and the United States. You shouldn’t be deterred by this as volunteering programs are available all year round. Although prices are much more expensive at this time of year it does not mean that you should not travel as there are many great deals available. The rule of thumb is that if you book your flight early you will most likely get a much better deal. There are many websites available that offer special deals as long as you stick to their arrival and return dates.

Those dreams to volunteer in Tanzania should not be lost as all it takes is a little more research on transportation and you will find yourself in a great position and the opportunity of a lifetime awaits you. Volunteering abroad at any time of the year is perfectly possible providing you do the research that is needed to get you there for a reasonable cost. In this day and age very few people have money to burn so ‘research’ is key to success! Do not let the prices deter you as once you get out there and get involved in the projects your life will change for the better and it also looks great on your CV.
